Would you like to be a part of building a working Ranch where there’s fun,
as well as learning and sharing!

Is a ‘strong sense of community’ important and what you also seek out?

Are you lonely, single, or just want to be around others and share?
Do you dream of having a home, but either don’t have the income or the credit;
or do you dream of an extended family where sharing is more important than competition?
Are you looking to connect with ‘Like Minded Souls’, as well as to ‘Learn, Live, Work and Play’?
Can you imagine an ‘Intentional Community’ Ranch where everyone pitches in and helps
one another; where it’s a ‘safe’ community consisting of ‘Two-Spirited’ peoples,
GLBT, and GLBTQ, as well as open to others who are open-minded and accepting?

The ‘main goal’ is to have a Ranch that has one main house; several bunkhouses; teepee’s;
workshops; studios; a back porch stage and outdoor amphitheatre for entertaining each other
as well as guests; barns for animals; a barn/soundstage for entertaining and filming;
a fully-operational film studio; acreage for crops; horses for riding
as well as working the ranch, and more?

The ‘alternate goal’ is to have a Ranch that also has one main house with a large kitchen and
dining room where everyone will be able to join in on all meals, or as many as they can;
dormitories or bunkhouses for those folks who don’t mind sharing a large room while helping to
keep heating and other costs down; some teepee’s for those who would like to ‘rough it’
or use during the Spring, Summer, and Fall months, while guests and campers will also be able to
use them; at least one large workshop for woodworkers, and one for pottery, while others
could be added on; a large studio for any artists; an ‘official sized’ Rodeo arena for use
by anyone who owns a horse, and Rodeo Associations for both practice, as well as
planned events; a barn/soundstage for entertainment and filming; a large greenhouse and
potting shed; barns for animals; and acreage for our fruit and vegetable crops,
as well as an herb garden.

If ‘Yes’, you are hereby invited to join Many Spirits Ranch, the "Ranch of Peace and Hope."

Greetings:
‘Thank You’ for your interest in ‘Many Spirits Ranch’. My name is Steve and I am the Ranch Organizer.
This letter is a brief introduction and is your official invitation to get involved.
Many Spirits Ranch is a ‘Spiritual’ place and combined of creative people who are ‘forward thinking’,
and is open to anyone wishing to live, build, teach, and attend this ‘one of a kind’ Ranch that is
‘environmentally aware’, plus will not only be the ‘Community, Learning, and Teaching School
of the Future’, but also a place where sharing is ‘high priority’; while
greed, competition, hostility, and cynicism’ doesn’t belong!

If you are into the Western or Country way of life; enjoy Rodeo’s; like a variety of music including
Country, Bluegrass, European (German, Irish, Scot, Scandinavian, Welsh, Polish…),
Rock-A-Billy, Ragtime, and/or Native American; Barn Dances; growing or helping to grow and
raise as much of our food as we have land available; are an Artist, which includes but is not
limited to: ceramics, woodwork, leatherwork, metalwork/blacksmith, music/musician, photography,
videography, graphite, watercolor, acrylics, lapidary, glasswork, writing books, movie scripts,
stage-plays, sewing, cooking, canning, baking, or candle-work); this is definitely for you!

If you could enjoy a place where you have brethren to talk to, walk and work with; to go
camping with; on moonlight hikes; hay rides; group outings and trips to town for
groceries; Ranch barbecues; sitting around bon fires in the stone fire pit while telling stories;
star gazing at night while lounging in a sleeping bag, or on a blanket with your brethren; having
the freedom to be yourself amongst others like you; having the freedom to dress in
Old West attire, Civil War, Renaissance, or Native Costume (Apache, Arapaho,
Cherokee, Navaho, et al) and more, while wandering around the Ranch or
Old West Town setting/back-lot; then you will love living,
and more, at Many Spirits Ranch!

If you’re a visionary, have a servant’s heart, wants to find true happiness,
and who wants to build not only a better tomorrow, but many more friends, plus be a part of an
extended family, then you will love ‘Many Spirits Ranch’!

As you read, you will find some great reasons why Many Spirits Ranch could be the place for you:

*** THE VISION of MANY SPIRITS RANCH ***
Our first vision: With the many different ‘Intentional Communities’ that there are out there, this will be
quite different and unique in that it will be similar to that of a working ranch or farm, while its family
members will consist of different groups of people from different walks of life, plus the Ranch will be
oriented around a ‘Spiritual’ lifestyle! Sharing
and helping one another, is one of the important factors,
where if you are self-employed or working off the Ranch, neither will be compared as it will end up
being too much like the outside or real world! Who brings in more money or has the better job is
‘competition’ which is what the networks and many religious cults push, which ends up being
chaos rather than cosmos! Like so many families out there, everyone will have their own viewpoint
and lifestyle. Our Ranch will also host a wide variety of events, retreats, and seminars, which means
that in addition to our family or extended family members, there will be short and long-term visitors.
Many wonderful things about the Ranch will intrigue outside interest and many a visitor, which include
but are not limited to: Annual Arts & Crafts Festivals; Pot Lucks; Sweat Lodge; Sacred Circle; Outdoor
Amphitheater; Back-porch stage for Entertainment; Line, Flat, and Buck Dancing; Clogging; Square Dancing;
Artists workshops; Blacksmith shop; Western Town back-lot; gardens; different breeds of chickens, goats,
rabbits, quail, and pheasants; a homemade pottery kiln; outdoor bread oven; hay rides; horses; and a
fully-operational digital film studio where extended family members will be welcome to work, while every
event the Ranch has will be filmed and/or photographed with the footage or pictures being made into
photo montages and movies for viewing, as well as for sale to the general public through our shop on the
Ranch; through the many Arts & Craft Fairs, Swap Meets and more, off the Ranch; as well as on-line.
Again, this is just a partial list as depending on how big the ranch is acreage wise and how many members
it has, there could be a lot more to do and see!

Our second vision: As much as possible, Many Spirits Ranch will be designed with ecology in mind,
as well as taking advantage of nature’s resources! Whether Many Spirits Ranch is off-grid (meaning too
far from any public utility), or gets some of it’s utilities from the local community, it will have windmills
to help with electricity while any excess electricity will be sold back to the electric company. Our own
windmills generating the much needed electricity will also help in heating our water, while there will also
be hot water heaters set up for using coal or wood to heat them! Many products that can be made by
hand, like soap, will be made at the Ranch which will help in giving back to the land; as what we can
make, we don’t have to depend on mass manufacturing companies while wondering if something’s
really good for us, or there’s just a lot of word-spinning hype!
At Many Spirits Ranch, living in harmony with the environment and our fellow brethren is very important,
along with Spirituality, Enlightenment, Creativity, Education, Health, Fitness, Love and Friendship!

Our third vision: Many Spirits Ranch will be set up in such a way to create multiple sources of income
through individual business’s, which in turn, will add to helping the Ranch and family members continue to
grow, learn, and teach, while also helping with some of the events or functions. Functions on St. Patrick’s Day,
Thanksgiving, and the Winter Solstice Celebration, which happens around the 21st of December (while
Christmas happens on the 25th), in which there will be open invitation Dinners the general public can come to
and share in both a wonderful meal, and added entertainment! With the added businesses on the Ranch as well,
and as mentioned previously, there will be plenty of things to share, teach, and learn about, while continuing to
grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically, and will definitely include the Arts, Music, Dance, and Theater.
**** MANY SPIRITS RANCH PHILOSOPHY ****

1: Harmony – it is so important to get along, while being at peace within, and loving thyself, while also showing
compassion and love for your brethren. Something society as a whole puts down while at the top of their list is
‘competition, greed, self-servitude, and hostility’!

2. Nutrition – in order to function well, you need to make sure you get the proper foods, which at Many Spirits
Ranch, there will be no reason why you or your body isn’t getting the needed nutrition! With the large kitchen
facilities, barbecue area, and shared meals, plus the fact that if not all, then a lot of our foods will be grown there
on the property which everyone will have access to, there will be plenty to eat! If you don’t know how to cook,
you can learn if you like, or there will be a few cooks on the Ranch as well!

3. Spirituality – We are an eclectic mixture of different beliefs. Each one of us has chosen or created our
path in life, and as well, each one of us has some sort of guide in our
lives. If you have the gift of many
Shamans
, you can communicate with the Spirit World. In this day and age it is so important to keep
connected with your inner-self, while also communicating with your Spirit Guide or Guides, unlike so many
people out there who have nothing but hate and are miserable – and you know the old saying… misery
loves company! Don’t get sucked in as it’s ‘very hard’ to come out of that ‘Black Hole of Hate’!

4. Fitness – nutrition is one way to maintain a healthy body, while ‘fitness’ helps! On the Ranch, there’ll be
plenty to do to keep active, while you’ll also have quite a few brethren who may want a hiking partner, or to
go walking with, or lift weights, and more! There may even be a pool.

5. Family – oh how important and one of the main reasons for the Ranch! Having a family to care about, while
knowing that they also care for you, is or can be such a wonderful feeling! Being part of a family means sharing,
caring, helping, and having a shoulder to cry on, while also protecting each other, amongst other things.

6. Architecture – as much as possible, the Ranch shall fit in with the surroundings and not stand out like a
sore thumb! If not all, most of the building materials will come from nature like river-rocks, boulders, bricks,
and as possible, recycled timber for the housing structures, barns, and studios.

7. Community – the more to our community Ranch the merrier! No matter how small or big the Ranch is
there’ll be a lot of interactivity with one another. Not only as we share our meals, but also coming and going
to and from the Ranch; the daily chores on the Ranch whether inside or out; or off the property, like when
going to get groceries or feed; group outings; entertaining visitors; putting on skits; dancing; being involved in
a band; working together on any given project or building models together; and more!

8. Wisdom – is what will keep us together and out of trouble! Whatever we partake to do, whether it be on
or off the property, we need the wisdom to know right from wrong.

9. Knowledge – if you’re like me, you’re a ‘sponge’ for knowledge! Almost everyone tends to learn something
new every day, which
can be very useful and helpful as the same knowledge can be passed along to your
brethren/family.

10. Teaching – what we learn from each other and outside sources we then pass along or ‘teach’ other or
future brethren/family members, while also having the ability to teach the same thing to our students when there’s
retreats, or celebrations, or other events where we have visitors.

11. Freedom – Unlike some encampments (mostly run by religious weirdo’s/fanatics) where you’re not allowed
to read any outside books, magazines, or other periodicals, or listen to a radio, or watch television, or come and
go on the property as you choose; at Many Spirits Ranch, if you choose to go away for a day or so, or wish to
go with a group, you’re more than welcome! If you choose to subscribe to a magazine of any sort, or newspaper,
or whatever, it’s your choice! Many other 'Intentional Communities' that are not based on any religious cult or run
by the same religious weirdoes/fanatics, are also like us in that you aren't forced or coerced into doing anything
that is against your belief or nature!

12. Land – we shall give back to the land what and how we can! Composting any vegetable remains that are not
of use for cooking or eating; plant growth that’s finished it’s cycle will be cultivated back into the earth; leaves,
lawn trimmings, and other similar things will also be put back into the land by composting as well! Trash will be
sorted and that which can also be recycled, will be, while anything that can be composted, will be added to the
compost pile or used in such a way that it eventually will end up as part of the ground.

13. Animals – though they will be a part of our diet, none will be treated or raised in such a way that we would
not want to be treated! All of them will roam free, or as free as possible pending location to wilderness – hawks,
eagles, bear, coyote, owls; in other words, chickens, rabbits, quail, pheasants, and more may have to have some
sort of a pen to run to for protection, or housing large enough to keep them protected while also keeping them
from getting to our crops! If there are enough other family members around, each pen could be alternately
opened and the chickens in it could be allowed to roam the area while finding their way back in towards sunset.
The same could be done alternately for each other pen as well while not all at the same time as there will be a
wide variety or different breeds of chickens, some for eggs and food, while others for show. Pheasants and
Quail would most definitely need to be caged, though it would be similar to a chicken coop built on the ground!

14. Work – again, there will be those who work off the Ranch, while there will also be those who either are
self-employed and work on the ranch, or those who may choose to work around the ranch to help keep up
the many outbuildings, pens, workshops, barns, and also help feed on a daily basis, though many of the chores
around the ranch will not be set in stone or expected by any
one person to do all the time! Everyone will help
out while the many chores will be rotated with everyone contributing! Many family members will also be involved
in any one of the Arts & Crafts that will be at the Ranch as well!

15. Needs – every basic human need will be met, while it is also encouraged that family members check on one
another to show that you care and are a part of the family, also if someone is sick and not saying anything, or has
had an accident, everyone needs to know so we can take care of the situation.

16. Money – within the community or Ranch, there should be no need for money except pooling all or as much
of our resources as we can to help keep the Ranch going, while also helping to buy groceries and other needed
things. As Artists, what we also make there on the ranch and sell either through the shop, a swap meet, street
corner, craft show, bazaar, or on-line, if added to the community or Ranch funds will help everyone, as well
as when we have big gatherings like mentioned previously, which is Pot Lucks; Thanksgiving and Winter Solstice
(or Christmas) Dinners; St. Patrick’s Day Dinners; Summer Solstice Barbecues, and more.

17. Frugality – we shall live as simple as possible while trying not to live beyond our means, unlike what society
practices! There will be occasions when something has to be bought to help out everyone involved, or around the
Ranch, or individual businesses though!

18. Resources – we can turn to one another for help and advice. If one of the family members has the ways and
means to help another family member, like money for a business or getting a loan, it would be wonderful, but is
totally up to the two involved. If it’s to help with the Ranch or anything pertaining to the ranch or workshop, et al,
if it is offered as a gift without thought of anything in return, but just the satisfaction to see the Ranch continue and
grow, that would be wonderful. Otherwise, all resources will be used efficiently and wisely!

19. People/Family Members – everyone shall be treated equally no matter if handicapped, or effeminate, or
an elder, or teenager, or going through changes in life!

20. Arts & Crafts – we will ‘proudly’ show our wares whether in our studio, the shop, outside, or in selling
our work off the Ranch. Tours may be given to the general public and your work may be in plain view, and
who better than you to show and talk about your work!

21. Farming/Gardening – all of the food that we grow ourselves will be grown as ‘organically’ as possible
with no pesticides, while finding alternative means of combating pests if need be. Herbs will also be grown,
while many native healing plants will also be grown like Sage, Sweetgrass and Lavender.

22. Business – what is created on the property in our shared and/or individual studios will be up to each
individual family member of how much they want to add to the mutual Ranch funds to help keep the Ranch
going, while also contributing in helping with the many events that will happen on the Ranch.
Self-employment is also encouraged at the Ranch, as well as side businesses if working off the Ranch, as
you really never know these days how long that job is going to last, yet while taxes are taken out to
support the wealthy, put into the military for wars, or used to 'bail out' many corporations, while many
'TRUE AMERICANS'
may be starving, homeless, losing their homes, or their jobs!

23. Solitude – if you choose to be around everyone or as many others that are on the ranch at any given
time, it’s up to you, but everyone at one time or another needs their own space whether working or not,
and you don’t have to worry or feel that you need to be around someone at all times. When meditating, or
working and depending on what you’re doing, you may need to be alone or have that solitude, especially
if you need to focus on something!

24. Law/Government – there will be specific rules to abide by and while there may be some things you
may have to give up in exchange for a wonderful environment, wouldn’t it be better to live in peace and
harmony with an extended family while also knowing you’re free to come and go, while you’ll never go
hungry, or feel left out, or alone, or forgotten!

25. Retreats – since our ranch will be open to outsiders for events, seminars, and more, visitors will
always be welcome whether they are there for a day’s visit, a weekend, a week, or a month. Any
longer than a month will be a new member to the family and Ranch.

26. Growth – at Many Spirits Ranch, there will always be something going on, or something new being
added; while each one of us will always be growing in one way or another!

27. Group Meetings/Get Together's – a lot of the family members will be working during the week
while having weekends free, and there will be those who are self-employed either part-time or full-time
while possibly conducting their business at the Ranch. The best time then for the monthly group meetings
or get Together's would be during the weekends, and the meetings would also be a vital asset to help keep
the ranch in operation while being able to share our feelings to one another, as well as having input into
anything having to do with the Ranch and our family members.

Now, wouldn’t you love to live at Many Spirits Ranch and enjoy the many different events, seminars,
parties, and more, while also knowing that you’d be welcome for who and what you are! Where you can
come Learn, Live, Work, and Play with other Like Minded Souls who also want to share in the Ranch
and not only it’s future, but yours/theirs as well, while also having an extended family!

If what you read and like in the Many Spirits Ranch ‘Vision and Philosophy’ and would really like to
become a member, you’re most welcome to join! With the Ranch in the process of continuing past this
point, plus if you’re interested in being a resident, and possibly a teacher, then don’t hesitate to contact us.
Until the land is purchased and construction is started, the only way of communication currently is by way
of email or phone. Eventually as interest and membership grows, a meeting time and place will be announced
where we all can get together and meet while discussing our mutual interests, the Ranch, and more!
.
As your organizer, I am doing as much as I can to acquire the necessary funds to make it a ‘go’, while if
there’s enough interest, we can set up an ‘LLC’ corporation and proceed from there! On occasion when I
can afford them, I get two Quick Pick Lottery Tickets, one for the Lotto and one Mega Millions with hope!
Amongst other things and since I wear many hats, I am working on books that I’ve written over the years
and am finally able to publish them! I'm also going to be submitting as many of my best photographs, plus
stock video footage to one or two on-line companies and 50% of my profits will go towards the Ranch as well!
I will also continue creating my own movies, documentaries, and photo montages, and the same 50% of the
profit will also go towards the Ranch!
I am also a recent graduate of Antelope Valley College and am putting ‘all’ my newly acquired skills to use
towards the goal of Many Spirits Ranch! I am spread so thin, but having a place like this where it’s an
open’ and ‘welcoming’ Ranch is my dream and goal, while I know there’s other folks out there who could
really enjoy a place like Many Spirits Ranch, with the family atmosphere; helping one another; sharing;
caring; giving; and so much more!

For those who are really interested in becoming a part of the Ranch, we need to pool our many resources
to help make it happen. Time, Money, Knowledge and Experience is what’s needed to help make this vision
become a reality! In scouting around for the ideal size of land, and not really close to any city, town, or
metropolis, while as well not necessarily being of agricultural use, it doesn’t matter whether it’s desert or
mountains, but reasonable enough to purchase and build on without a major outlay of funds. If the land is good
for agriculture, that would be ideal, as in order to raise some of our own food, we do need a place sizable
enough for crops and animals, as well as the many other things we will have and offer. As with many Co-op's,
colonies, eco-communities, intentional communities,
Ranch’s, and Farms, they’re not close to any populous
until the town grows and becomes a city while encroachment takes place and people buy knowing there’s a
Ranch or Farm, then later on down the road complain about one thing or another, that’s why we don’t want it
to be too close to the populous as we want and need some privacy, plus be able to grow!
Especially important
since it’s going to be an open ranch for Two-Spirits, GLBT, and GLBTQ people,
though again, everyone’s welcome who are open-minded, accepting and could adapt to living
on a Ranch!

**** Basic Q & A ****
1. Location – currently our location is in the Antelope Valley, which is part of the Mojave Desert in
Southern California and the northeast part of Los Angeles County, but we are open to any areas that
are in or considered a ‘safe zone’! For the ‘agriculture’ part of it, there needs to be ground that is
either fertile, or that we can build up for growing crops and more. In the Antelope Valley and many
surrounding areas though, it’s almost impossible to find fertile land unless you head up into the mountains,
then you’re really a distance from any populous! If the ranch is going to be a place where seminars,
events, and more are held, it needs to be ‘somewhat’ close to town, say within about a forty-five minute
drive. Also the Ranch needs to be fairly easy to get to for those coming up from Los Angeles, the San
Fernando Valley, Bakersfield, and other cities by way of our local freeway system, plus Metro link and
Amtrak. This way with all the events, seminars, and retreats, our brethren will be more likely to come
for the fun and camaraderie, plus we can make runs to and from the train stations for our many guests.
Places being considered are: Llano, Lost Hills, California City, Tehachapi, Valyermo, Fremont Valley,
Twin Oaks, Piute Springs, and surprisingly, Lancaster. On the outer skirts of Lancaster there is land
available at a ‘very reasonable’ cost, and it’s far enough out that even at the current rate of growth
for the city, it’s going to be a few years to come before the city extends that far out! The farther out
as well, the more solitude we'll have, as well as be able to view the stars and moon, as well as the brighter
they'll be without all the added city lights!

2. Fees/Initial Outlay/Operating Costs – With the Ranch operating mostly on solar panels; windmills;
wood and coal burning stoves, barbecues, water heaters and more; it would cut down tremendously on
the amount of expenses for electricity and gas! Propane could be used in place of Gas, but with wood
and coal as an option for heating, it just means that occasional trips would need to be made to buy cords
of wood, gather old wood pallets, or have a Forestry Permit to go and harvest the fallen trees, which
means that not only is there firewood for the Ranch, but if any wood is good and usable, it could be used
by one of the woodworkers in any number of projects for ranch use, or for sale! The initial outlay though
would be more including the solar panels, windmills, generators, and unit where we can sell what electricity
that we don’t use to the electric company and make some additional money to go back into the Ranch.
At about $450,000.00, the property could be bought, along with the windmills, solar generators, needed
vehicles, and construction of the many barns, bunkhouses, studios, and more, though they would be
sufficient for living and not be so elaborate that we’re living beyond our means! With the possibility of a
fully-operational digital film studio, housing, barns, artists studios, gardens, and Western Town back-lot,
it would be around 40 acres of land we would need, while even more is better!

3. Housing – there would be one main house with eight or more bedrooms; a huge commercial style kitchen;
two big bathrooms with at least one additional for each bedroom; a dining room with a table large enough to
seat at least twenty; an in-home theatre for viewing movies made right there on the ranch, as well as store
bought movies; and a large family room, amongst other rooms. There would also be at least one bunkhouse
for cowboys, and possibly several smaller one-room houses for guests. The number of bedrooms and
bathrooms is depending on how many are interested, plus how many would like to share the main house.
Its design could be that of a log cabin or timber frame house, or it could be similar to a big barn like what
the sound and entertainment studio will be like, though it will also be a part of the fully equipped digital film
studio.

4. Regulations – basically you agree to live by Many Spirits Ranch Philosophy and other ranch rules. There
may be things you may have to give up, but again, wouldn’t it be better to live in peace and harmony with an
extended family while also knowing you’re free to come and go, while you’ll never go hungry, or feel left out,
or alone, or forgotten, while there's a 'strong sense of community'!

5. Drugs/Smoking – unless you have a doctor’s prescription for the use of drugs not sold over the counter,
‘no illegal drugs of any kind will be permitted on the premises at any time’! With the ‘invitation’ being ‘open’
to anyone who would like to live on Many Spirits Ranch, some family members have cancer and with respect
to them, as well as others, we have to add that we are a ‘non smoking’ community, other than our Spiritual
Meditations and Healings utilizing tobacco, sage, sweetgrass, and more. We do realize that in having different
events and functions at the Ranch that there will be others that smoke, but again, our Community Ranch is a
‘non smoking’ community.
